Since our founding in 2012, the Government Accountability has published ten books written by GAI staff members. Many of these books have appeared on bestseller lists, with Peter Schweizer, our president, appearing on the New York Times non-fiction bestseller list seven times.
“Books have a permanence and an authority to them,” says Schweizer. “As a voracious reader myself, I prefer the deeper exploration of a subject that only a book provides. GAI’s books are the product of months and sometimes years of painstaking effort — deep research, rigorous fact-checking and source verification, editing, re-writing and, finally, publication.”
Through our Visiting Fellowships program, GAI also works with outside authors who wish to utilize our research expertise, our highly regarded fact-checking team, our editorial team, and our promotional skills. We are pleased to have worked with two published authors already. More will follow.
We invite you to explore our body of work and thank you for your support and encouragement.
