Government Accountability Institute President and Author Peter Schweizer believes the government of India is attempting to “flex its muscles” against the United States with its continued purchasing of Russian oil.
Appearing on Sky News Australia with host James Morrow, Schweizxer responded to news that the Trump administration is attempting to pressure India into halting its purchase of Russian oil. This comes amid Vladimir Putin’s ongoing war in Ukraine and Trump’s own efforts to broker a peace in that conflict.
Concerns have been raised following Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to China, where he met Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russia’s Vladimir Putin.
Schweizer also discussed the dangerous fentanyl trade from Mexico, in which the Mexican drug cartels are the “junior partners” in a deal with drug-supplying China.
